How It All Started

Our journey started in the hot summer days of Sofia, filled with endless opportunities on how we could spend our time. We met in Borisova Garden, Vessy filled with happiness and joy, Marko being his usual grumpy self. Even after the initial shock, we grew into good friends, which after years, on a similar hot summer day, blossomed into the relationship that we have now. We survived the long distance years of Vessy studying in the UK and Marko studying in Bulgaria until we finally moved in together in gloomy Manchester, to then move to London, where we live now. From there on it was only a matter of time to us getting engaged and soon to celebrate our wedding with our family and our closest friends.

The Best People

Maid of Honor

Paola Ivanova

Maid of Honour

Paola and Vessy met on the first day of Freshers Week at Lancaster University where they discovered that not only are they both in the same college and doing the same degree, but are also from the same country.

They lived in Manchester after university (and hated it) and even though Paola now lives in Amsterdam, with hubby Rens and doggo Klara, and Vessy lives in London, they make sure to always find time to meet up and squeeze in an aerial class and a coffee date wherever they are.

Paola is an amazingly smart and driven person, always full of energy and seeking a fun way to expend it! We are so lucky to have her as a friend and our Best Woman!

Best Man

Dimitar Panagiev

Best Man

It seems like we were destined with Mitko to have the friendship that we have. Even from kindergarten, we were living in the same apartment block in Studentski with our parents constantly taking responsibility to take care of us when the other parents were not available.

This continued in primary school, going together in the same class while our parents bought property again in the same apartment block (by chance). Mitko has been my bedrock for my entire life, making sure that I don’t go overboard in my constant desire to annoy everyone and being an example on how to be more empathic.

Needless to say, even if we don’t live in the same country anymore, when we meet, it’s like no time or distance has passed.

Bedouin Forest Residence

Bedouin is situated in the heart of the Balkan mountain range, nearest town is Sevlievo.

The venue is multi-functional, hosting events such as weddings, festivals and other celebrations. Designed to be in tune with the nature, Bedouin focuses on craftsmanship and alignment with traditions of the region.

We chose Bedouin to be the place where we have our wedding because we both love to spend time in nature and the mountains, plus the Balkan range is where Vessy is from, Bedouin being located only a hour and a half away from her hometown of Lovech.

Dress Code

Saturday, 13th July – Wedding Day

Dress as you feel comfortable, we are in the forest, in the mountains, and it’s July, we’d rather everyone be comfortable. July is quite hot in Bulgaria so we recommend summer clothing and shoes, suncream, sunglasses, and hats, if you want. For the evening, the mountain gets colder in the night, so we would recommend you also bring a shawl/cardigan/jacket for the night activities.

We would advise against high heels, unless you really want to wear them, and at your own risk.

Sunday 14th July – Chill Day

Dress comfortably, anticipate some light sports or walking activity so bring trainers, shorts, tank tops, etc. We highly recommend sunscreen, sunglasses and hats. There is a little brook next to the venue, so feel free to bring swimwear as well.
